In Costa Mesa, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across California vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–7 pm. It is closed on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (714) 434-8350. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, oilstopinc.com.
Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 1,086 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded oil change services in Costa Mesa.
Costa Mesa is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Costa Mesa follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Been coming here since it's opened, maybe 15 years? Either way, I've been a customer for a while. Crew out there is great, very professional and courteous. No pressure to get anything extra if you don't want it, but helpful additions if you do. I'm impressed that they've maintained quality service. Come here, it's quick, great value, and a pleasant experience. Thank you, Mahalo nui Loa, and Arigato gozaimasu!

Superb and Excellent Technicians Customer Service. I appreciated the camaraderie between techs as they all offered step by step communication while setting in my car. They offered all products and gave me a choice with no sales pressure. Friendly and entertaining with great customer communication at every step.

I was helped by a few people. But, the service within was exceptional. I was greeted immediately and offered a drink while I waited. The service and professionalism were great. They showed me what needed to be changed and what they did. My car runs perfect. I recommend them to everyone and will continue to bring in my vehicles.

Super friendly workers here. Each employee asked if I needed any drinks periodically and thanking me for being patient with them. I appreciate the work the manager Johnny and Lorenzo gave to my car and myself. They serviced a bunch of things needed for my car for a great price. It's nice they also clean your window and give you a voucher to redeem a free car wash next door. Will be coming back

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an amazing experience at Oilstop Drive Thru Oil Change today! 🙌 I honestly wasn’t expecting such a positive and energetic vibe from an oil change place — but these guys completely changed my mind! From the second I pulled up, Andrew and Lorenzo greeted me with huge smiles and great energy. You can really feel how positive the environment is there — everyone’s helping each other, calling out instructions with enthusiasm, cheering each other on… it’s contagious! 💪🔥 They didn’t just change my oil — they checked everything: tire pressure, lights, fluids, and made sure my car was in perfect shape. What really stood out to me was how professional and fast they were, but at the same time super friendly and respectful. They even offered me drinks while I waited inside my car! 🧃🚗 It’s rare to find service like this these days — clean, organized, and full of energy. I left with my car running smoother than ever and a smile on my face. Big shoutout to Andrew and Lorenzo for being so professional, kind, and full of life. I’ll definitely keep coming back here every time — this place deserves more than 5 stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
